Another Reason Good To Be Home

Mocha that looks like mocha but taste like black coffee. This will never happen in Singapore.

But you know in Australia and NZ, they have the best mocca version - moccachino. Seriously, where can I get moccachino with lotsa marshmallow in Singapore.

I am coming back tomorrow. Another packed week to come, let's just smile and see time flies. ;]

Urgh, I heart Bangkok.

In the taxi, on the way to Suam Lum night market. Traffic jam, expected.

I was halfhearted want to go to suam lum rather than Khao San because I had more good memories in Khao San. But it is drizzling now so I think I better don't take the risk. I have another night here anyways.

I asked the taxi driver how far is khao San from suam lum. He repeats after me everytime I say a word, not giving me an answer at all! I said, 'suam lum night market.' He answered, 'not suam lum. It's suam ruuuumm..' he said my pronounciation is wrong. And then he kept correcting me till I gave up.

Okay we are here. Finally!

A Small Note

Bangkok - it feels the same to me. A few changes I noticed upon arrival is the annoying designated smoking area rule just like Singapore and a nice improvements on the public taxi queue -no more private cars drivers trying to cheat your money.

The traffic disaster remains the same. In Bangkok, never ask the taxi drivers how long it takes to reach the destination unless you are prepared to either get scolded by them with super long winded long long long and whiney Thai sentences or get the same reply everytime 'must see the traffic.'

I am on my way to the trade show and I foresee a long, long ride but I really don't know because I refused to listen to the same answer again. Furthermore, it's pointless because this driver doesn't know a single English word. Tsk.

For once, I think I'm gonna arrive later than my boss. ;/

This trip is merely just a business trip. I have no intention to lug back any loots to be honest. I mean, you know, those dresses are pretty and cheap but do I really need them? Hell no. My clothes racks are going to collapse anytime soon. I am happy with my selection of black and white clothes. But if you need anything from Bangkok, email me. You have three days, I'm coming back on Saturday.

I really hoped I actually brought along my dslr. But it's too heavy. Oh well.

Another thing I noticed is that it's pretty cooling here. No sun, drizzling. However you can still smell the pollution. Last time when we were here, one of the clients said to us, 'if you never get stuck in a traffic jam, you have never experienced the real Bangkok'

Yah right.

I'm staying in saphan kwai area. Check out the reflection hotel. The room is beautiful. Stylish, and just simply too creative. I stay in this room with photography concept, called 'I love photo'. The photos on the wall... They are amazing.

Oh, and another thing I realized..every creative, boutique hotel I stay in here, there is a cute, young Thai boy working there. It makes my day a little better.

:)

Away. For A While.

I am glad that I will be away for a while, spending some time with myself, getting serious work done, and not thinking about anything, anyone.

Maybe, I really function better, alone. I am not being myself, and that makes me a mad woman.

Now, let me give myself and everyone else a greater room to move, more space to breathe, and more time to rethink.

Leave me alone, and I'll be a better person.

I am tired, running and chasing tails. Let me be with myself.

Bangkok blast from 13-16 May. Time for some pottie and cheapboozes loves. =]

WOOM AT MELB.

It's a bad idea really to take a nap from 7-9pm, because this is exactly what you'll get - staying awake at 2 am in the morning, and stalking on
exboyfriends on facebook. Urgh, it's a bad idea. Very bad. It makes me miss Melbourne so much now. :(

You know what do I miss the most of everything in Melbourne? The red couch in his apartment where we sit ourselves comfortably in front of tv, with his homecooked foods and the desserts after. I actually cut fruits and make yogurt with fruits with lotsa ice cream for desserts when I am in Melbourne ok?! When I am back here, shit, instant noodles is my main course, and cigarette is dessert.

HORRIGIBLE! =/

Leaving On A Small Jet Plane

I am going away for a while.
Need to get out from this place.
First I was thinking East Malaysia to visit Yi, then take a trip up to Brunei to find some business leads.
But this girl is having her final exam, so it's a NO I think.

Bintan is too late for bookings.
Phuket sounds like a plan.

Any other suggestion?
For the labor day week. For about 3-4 days.

A quickie to Melbourne?
:]
